The Geeky Gourmet: My First Guest Blogging Experience! (Oooh, and French Toast!)

Welcome!

I created this blog to document my adventures in the kitchen, and show that anyone can cook delicious and healthy meals using fresh ingredients, without sacrificing taste.

I want to inspire you to make an entire meal for your family without meat, and not miss it. I want you to use fresh herbs instead of a salt shaker. I want to show you how you can cut calories here and there without noticing. Most importantly, I want to make you drool.

Not everything you see here will be low fat, vegetarian, or extremely good for you. I'm not going to shove that stuff down your throat, we all deserve a break from restrictions now and then. Some recipes just taste good.

A lot of what I will post on here will be things I created, or modified. Others will be recipes I found someplace that I love.

So grab your apron (and maybe some safety goggles) and start exploring!

I urge you to use as many natural and organic food ingredients as you can. I know that in these times it is harder to find the time to cook meals from scratch, much less search for organic produce, and that sometimes it is more costly, but it makes a difference in taste, your health, and our planet. Taking the time to be aware of what we put in our bodies is the key to solving and preventing health issues, living happier lives, and enjoying tasty cuisine.

My First Guest Blogging Experience! (Oooh, and French Toast!)

It's been a busy week for me; getting my first award and being asked to do a guest blog for the first time!
